“I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning” Plato
The music program at Saint Brigid School provides children with a creative outlet for their talents where they, use analytical skills, increase processing skills necessary for other academic subjects, gain insights into specific aspects of music and music history, and grow in their spiritual development.
The Kodaly and Ward Methods which we use are voice based methods. In addition singing, students learn the language of music: reading music, writing music, and creating music, both with their voices and musical instruments.
The Saint Brigid School Choir is part of the St. Mary's Cathedral Choir School.
