In science class, students will learn the fundamentals of physical, life, earth, and for the upper grades, space science. My aim is to not only help students to learn about science, but to inspire and interest and curiosity about the world around them.
Critical thinking is essential to the learning process. As such, assignments and projects in this class will reflect questioning and analyzing scientific problems. Learning experiences in science class will include: labs and experiments, in class observations, video presentations, and ongoing class projects.
For grades 3-8, students will keep a science journal. This journal will contain writing assignments, diagrams, notes, and homework. Homework assignments for grades 4-8 will be assigned through the Discovery Education and Google Classroom which students and parents will have access to.
In addition, 6th-8th grade students will be competing in the annual Science Fair hosted here in the St. Brigid auditorium. I look forward to an exciting and enriching school year. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by clicking on "email" or sending me a message through Fastdirect.
