The purpose of the extension program is to support our families by providing quality after school care in an organized and supervised environment. Activities include arts and crafts, games, outdoor play, homework/reading time and daily snack.
As well as assistance with homework, our staff provides supervision, recreation and enriching activities that will make their school afternoons as enjoyable as possible. Together as a team we will give 110% of our efforts so that your child feels safe and secure.
The entire staff in the Extension Program is committed to give our best and work with you to make your children's experience a positive and happy experience.
Hours of Operation: School dismissal until 6:00 PM.
$75 per child
$10.00 per hour / per child. $1.00 a minute after 6:00PM
Late Charges are applied to both Drop-in and Extension Program Students as follows: $10.00 per hour if child is not picked up on time and an additional $1.00 a minute after 6:00PM. Late charges are applied to both Drop-In and Extension Program Students.
If a check is returned, the family will be charged the bank fee. Should this occur more than once, we will ask that all future payments be made in the form of a cashiers check or cash. ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED directly to the Extension Care Program.
Saint Brigid is committed to providing healthy snack choices. Each day a snack will be provided for your child. Please notify staff of any food allergies upon registering for the Extension Program. If your child is unable to eat the snacks provided by the program please inform the Director that you will provide a nutritious snack that fits the needs of your child.
All students are given the opportunity to participate in outdoor recess except when weather does not permit.
If a child becomes ill or in a minor accident, the parent/guardian will be notified and/or contacted for an early pick up.
MOBILE PHONE POLICY
Mobile phones are not allowed while the student is in the Extension Program.
No pets are allowed on school property, in the building or in the yard to avoid exposure to students with allergies to pet dander. For the safety and well being of all our students, please understand and leave your pets in your vehicles (windows open on a hot day).
PICK UP PROCEDURES
Only those persons authorized on the Extension Day Registration are allowed to pick up the child or children. If staff is unfamiliar with the person designated to pick up a child, identification will be requested. Parents and/guardians must sign out their child. If there is a change in who is picking up your child, the Extension Program Director must be notified in advance. In addition, the Program Director must be alerted of any special concerns regarding custody orders and these must be placed on file with the school office.
